Lactation Counseling Services- The Nursing Nook

Please note there is a fee for those services marked with an (*). See fee schedule.

·         Prenatal  parenting and breastfeeding preparation classes. (*) Breastfeeding Classes

·          Counsel on herbal use during lactation

·          Telephone consultations for minor difficulties or concerns that can be addressed in less than 15 minutes

·          

·         In Office or Home consultations for situations which demand a hands-on approach and visual assessment or which go beyond the scope of a telephone consultation (*)

·         Baby Weight checks

·         Pre and Post feeding Baby weight check (feeding intake) (*)

·         Counsel on herbal use during lactation

·         Pump Selection Consultation

·          Pump Condition Assessment (*Fee applied if pump was purchased somewhere other than the nursing nook

·         Pump Operation Teaching (*Fee applied if pump was purchased somewhere other than the Nursing Nook)

In- Office Consult:

$30 for consult

Consults includes:

 History of mother and baby, assessment and evaluation of feeding session, weight check, intake check with Baby weight check, intake check with Baby Weigh Scale, evaluation of infant oral anatomy and mother's breast, and care path to improve the effectiveness and comfort of breastfeeding. This session also includes age appropriate (baby's age) teaching of breastfeeding and infant development in order for the mother to have a better understanding of her baby. Expect to spend 60 - 90 minutes at the initial visit.

At- Home Consult (within reasonable distance of  The Nursing Nook):

$ 60 for consult
